“Most people underestimate eyes. They're infinite. You look someone straight in the eye and your whole soul can be sucked out in a nanosecond. Other people's eyes are limitless and that's what scares me.”

School bullying- why oh why do we have to tear each other apart because we are different, or because we have a set of views, or because we have a mental health issues. What makes one human thrive on the hope of destroying anothers soul? Why do we bash someone down to enhance ourselves? It really is so dumb because she who destroys- gets destroys, he who bashes- becomes smaller. It is so counter productive and so destructive. Bullying harms everyone!
It is no wonder that some of us crawl into a self preservation cave and refuse to stick our head out- that way we can at least survive!

Audrey is a fifteen year old girl suffering from social anxiety disorder after an experience of school bullying that has led her to therapy and confined her to her home. As she works to regain her confidence and reengage in society, she meets a sensitive and funny boy named Linus who helps her step into the light and live again. With Linus at her side, Audrey feels like she can do the things she'd thought were too scary. Suddenly, finding her way back to the real world seems achievable.

Where this book really shines is Audrey’s family and their day-to-day interactions. They are hysterically funny and add a much needed character and charm to the story.
Finding Audrey. is just as heartfelt and poignant as it is wonderfully charming and hilarious. It's a perfect book for a sunny afternoon on the beach. A great picker-upper, feel-good novel capable of making you laugh out loud and all teary-eyed at the same time.

"I think what I've realized is, life is all about climbing up, slipping down, and picking yourself up again. And it doesn't matter if you slip down. As long as you're kind of heading more or less upwards. That's all you can hope for."
